Meet the Cast:

JESSICA MCKILLICAN - Playing the role of ARIEL

Jessica McKillican has been performing since she was five years old in groups like Nebraska Choral Arts Society and The Rose Blumkin Theatre. From a very young age Jessica loved to perform, sing and put on shows for her family. Her love for music and theatre grew, and Jessica attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Jessica has been featured in many shows, her favorites include Princess Fiona in the musical SHREK and Morticia in the musical ADDAMS FAMILY. Last summer she was blessed with the wonderful gift of playing Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST here at 3Crosses. Since then she has become more involved with the church and feels more in touch with the Lord. Excited to be given the opportunity to play Ariel this summer, Jessica hopes everyone who comes to see this production enjoys the experience as much as she has.

BEN STULTZ - Playing the role of PRINCE ERIC

Ben has enjoyed theater on several stages throughout California (Civic Center Theater, Corona/Redlands Bowl, Redlands/Landis Auditorium, Performance Riverside) and has played such roles as The Artful Dodger, The Pirate King, Prince Charming, Jesus, and a variety of supporting cast roles.  He currently serves as the Pastor of Worship Ministries at Redwood Chapel Community Church and is married to his beautiful wife, Catherine.  They have two beautiful children, Averly, a curly-haired, 3-year-old Daddy's girl and Dalton, his quiet and playful 1-year-old son!  He praises God for the opportunity to serve alongside such an amazingly talented team of performers and directors and is excited to see so many encouraged by this production.

Zachary David Marshall lives in Castro Valley. While attending Bishop O'Dowd he earned lead roles in Godspell, Once Upon a Mattress, and Sweeney Todd. After, he was accepted into Cal State East Bay where he continued his career in theater. During his time there he performed in two musicals, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Bat Boy. His latest shows took place at the Chanticleers theater, in both Smokey Joes Cafe and Gifts of the Magi. Last year he played the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. He currently teaches Physical Education with Rhythm and Moves and has a degree in American History. Here is what he had to say about working on The Little Mermaid:
"It has been a pleasure and joy working with such an amazing cast that I now know as friends."

Mary is thrilled to be returning to 3Crosses Church for the second year in a row for the Summer Outreach Program! Last year she played a Silly Girl and a Dancing Napkin in Beauty and the Beast. She is absolutely over the moon to be playing Flounder, as well as being Ariel’s understudy. She has done work with Chanticleers Theatre in Castro Valley, Douglas Morrisson Theatre in Hayward, Stage 1 in Newark, Firehouse Theatre in Pleasanton, Golden Gate Theatre Productions in Castro Valley, as well as Castro Valley High School. She has been in over 25 productions around the Bay Area; some favorite roles include Cinderella (Cinderella), Kim MacAfee (Bye Bye Birdie), Grace Farrell (Annie), Chava (Fiddler on the Roof), Delee (Smokey Joe’s Cafe), and Della (The Gifts of the Magi). She graduated from Castro Valley High School in 2014 and in the Fall she will start her final year of undergraduate studies at CSUEB majoring in Speech Pathology & Audiology, pursuing a career as a Speech Therapist. On top of going to school full time, she works at A1 Dance & Theatrical in Castro Valley as well as at School of Imagination in Dublin as an assistant preschool teacher. Working with such a wonderful cast, crew, and production team has been an absolute blessing and a pure joy. In her spare time, she enjoys singing loudly and passionately, binge watching The Office, and being incredibly sarcastic.

JORDAN BLEVINS – Playing the role of SEBASTIAN

Jordan developed a love of theater at a very young age, so young, he wasn't even born yet, but showed up to rehearsal every night with his mom as she directed countless shows all over the bay area. Spoiler alert, "Oliver!" in womb acoustics actually becomes a slightly tolerable show. That began a life in summer musicals, Easter and Christmas presentations. From nameless sheep wrangling Shepard to anthropomorphic crab; a real "started from the bottom now we're here" story. He considers it a distinguished honor to be in the second consecutive summer production where his hands will be obscured by some object; candles last year, claws this year, next year, who knows! For his day job, Jordan works in the Pharma industry to help bring new and exciting therapies to the oncology field! He is blessed to be around an amazing group of talented and God-fearing artists. He also is thankful to be a part of a church body that values seeking creative avenues to share God's truths!

RICHARD MADRID – Playing the role of GRIMSBY

Richard feels blessed to have been a part of the 3Crosses Music and Arts ministry for the last eleven years. He has had the opportunity to play various roles which include an insane Pharaoh, an aged Magi, a simple old shepherd, a majestic ancient Lion, a paranoid King, an eccentric inventor father and this year he will enjoy playing the part of an advisor to a prince. Richard thinks he has been greatly blessed to do all of these at his age. For the past 33 years he has been teaching music with the last 27 years teaching at Hesperian Elementary in San Lorenzo. Yes, it’s good to be old. Job 12:12 says,” Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.” My prayer is,”Lord, help me be this kind of man.” Praise the Lord.
